Message From The Chief Executive Officer
My journey in the Waste management & recycling industry started when I noticed something right away. Nigeria produces a lot of plastic waste, but very little of it is actually collected or recycled. Most people didn’t see waste as a business. Some saw it as dirty work. But I saw potential. I believed we could turn this problem into an opportunity—for people, for jobs, for the economy and for the environment.
That’s why I started Eco Planet Recovery Ltd.
In the beginning, it was tough. The system wasn’t organized. There was no structure, no real support, and it was hard to build trust. But we kept pushing. We began building a chain that connects waste pickers, collectors, suppliers, and buyers—everyone working together in a clear and fair way.
Today, Eco Planet runs a recycling model that’s simple, honest, and includes everyone. We work with informal waste pickers, train them, and make sure they earn fairly. We track what comes in, what goes out, and we make sure everyone is carried along.
Our goal is bigger than just recycling. It’s about *sustainability*—keeping our streets cleaner, reducing plastic pollution, and creating jobs that matter. We believe that waste can power change if we treat it right.
There’s still a lot to be done, but I’m proud of how far we’ve come. With Eco Planet, we’re not just collecting plastic. We’re building a cleaner, fairer, and greener future one step at a time.
